My Personal Journey
What most people refuse to believe, is that exercise is NOT the key to looking the way you want. That comes from particular diet habits! Looking lean and healthy comes from my DIET! I only work out 2-3 times a week doing only weight resistance training and an extremely simple abdominal routine. Although I currently do cardiovascular training weekly for heart health, during this 4 month transformation, I purposely did NO CARDIO! I did this just to prove that running on a treadmill or biking for hours a week is simply not necessary. Although I used machines, dumbbells, and cable systems, I have put up a comparable, FREE home work out routine on my blog. Click HERE to download the workout!

Exercise needs to be simple and used to maintain the health of your heart and joints. P90x, Insanity, Cross-Fit, Jazzercize, zumba, flinging ropes and kettle bells, hours on a treadmill, bike or elliptical, and any other extreme exercise regimens are more likely to get you HURT then get you these results and they are simply NOT NECESSARY! Remember, exercise is only used to maintain your heart and joint health and to support the effectiveness of your diet!
Why Is There So Much Confusion?
Thinking back to "Physical Education" when I was in school, the one skill that we needed to learn was how to exercise. But that was never on the agenda. Instead, we learned softball, kickball, volleyball, and every other sport. I don't know about you, but as an adult, I don't play any of those sports anymore. Remember the Presidential Fitness Test? Sit and reach, pull-ups, shuttle run etc. I am sad to tell you, as useless as that was, they still do something similar to it to this day. Learning that this still goes on solidified what I already knew: exercise and fitness education is still in the dark ages.
The television and the media is constantly bombarding us with vanity-based fitness products and advanced exercise routines. It is easy to feel that if you're not doing one of these programs you're doing something wrong, or you're missing something.
I Needed To Do Something About This
In 2004, I opened my own practice. The model was simple. Your body, at any one time, is in one of three states: Disease, health, or fit. So I created a physical therapy practice with a gym built right inside. Once a patient was finished with "Disease Care" and back to health, my job was only half done. I still needed to teach people how to exercise correctly and avoid an injury in the first place. The results have been amazing!
So, why "Stop Exercising: Until You See This"?
Unfortunately, in my line of work, you can only help one person at a time. I knew that if I was going to make a difference, I wasn't going to be able to have an impact on this epidemic at that pace. I also knew that with the amount of "experts" out there, telling people I was going to "teach them to exercise properly" would have been lost on the wide world web. It would have been like placing a stamp on a light post in time square and trying to draw attention to it. Therefore, STOP EXERCISING, LEARN a better way, and get long-lasting RESULTS!
Finally, please read this carefully:
I don’t consider myself the one and only source on exercise. My techniques work, but are only effective if you use them correctly. The kinds of things I teach are not "quick result gimmicks” - far from it actually.
Learning to exercise correctly with a focus on health first and vanity second, takes a lot of hard work, a lot of patience and a dedication to doing things the right way. I know I have the experience and knowledge to inspire you to be the best you can be, however I want to do it the right way. I speak from my years of experience, from sound scientific research and from a genuine desire to help you.
